Pin Up Fashion
The world of pin up fashion is one steeped rich with history, both in its design and style. It got its start in years past, when individuals developed of love for all things pin up. Generally, around the late 40′s and all the way through the 50′s individuals were first spurned to love anything cool, out of the norm and anything that would upset the dear old mom and dead.
This era was about fashion and great, and pin up history was started by statuesque women that were in the acting and movie related fields. These women often were found to be pushing the envelope in fashion, modeling, acting and just simply being beautiful. Not other time in history can be documented as of yet to show such a great leap in the world of fashion, makeup, jewelry and hairstyles.
Fashion options that most women had around this time period, showed us that we were not limited in what we wore or how we carried off a certain design of clothing. Clothing that was designed during the 40′s and 50′s were liberating and spoke volumes for women everywhere around the world. This fashion and style flanked world set the grounds for clothing and fashion in a way that has many of us glad. Clothing today is however more forgiven and they have to be. Back then thin statuesque women were the rage and today it is no different. Today, clothing is instead made and designed to keep us looking on the slimmer side. And if we cannot pull off a slender look, then we can still be comfortable with the clothing options of today and still be very stylish. Betty Grable was for sure the number one pin up girl of the World War II era and fashion all over the world was patterned to show off women and their legs.
Some famous pin ups were the likes of Rita Hayworth, Betty Grable and Jane Russell just to name several. There were so many more and people were just fascinated by them. They seemed to be perfectly aligned with everything they did and did not do and what they wore was a perfectly smart move for these women. Their clothing made the biggest statement and women everywhere wanted to pattern their lives around fashionable clothing just the same.
Marilyn Monroe was the most famous pin up by far and many people are still in love with her use of fashion at its finest. She is truly an iconic figure of the past and remains so today. Fashion options and designers were set to drooling at the mere mention of her name and many chose to design clothing specifically for all the Marilyns of the world. Fashion is great, but it does not become really great until someone like a famous model or actress puts the clothing on. This was true then and it is true today as well.
The fashion world also has pieces of jewelry and accessories to help set our trends in the fashion world as well. Gorgeous women of the pin up world will forever be looked on, as the truly greatest contribution to the fashion industry.
